Nina Pilar grows, explores, and designs in 2D + 3D spaces. She aims to craft curated libraries giving voice + visuals to the complete societal shift we’re in right now. For years, she’s found a strange solace in studying the late 1930s/1940s era: the aftermath of WWI + the era of World War II. This has since expanded into the broader chronology of societies and civilizations.
The timeline is her muse: it forms the basis for her visual expressions.
The YearZero Foundry is a developing library of letterforms and glyphs. Our perspective, our outlook is of a cyclical nature: we visualize the past and reimagine how historic moments will occur in the future.
Because the world has been through it all before.
